Countless movies has been made about the man from Sherwood Forest. This is yet another one. But this time, it’s about how Robin Hood started to become Robin Hood. I think that it’s a cool thing to do. It’s like Batman begins, all over again. It put the pieces of the puzzles together. And I think that it gave more content to what makes Robin Hood is. And the love story about him and Lady Miriam is better told.

But it didn’t escapes me that in this story, Robin Longstride is a crusader. Earlier in the movie, it told about him just got back from Jurusalem where they had killed many muslims. Though it portrayed that Robin did not agree with what they had done, but they collectively had just returned from massacring innocent muslims.

And there’s element of Freemasonry in the movie. In the movie, it has been mentioned that Robin’s father is a ‘stonemason’ which is like a coded thing to mean freemason. Looks like early inception of the masons. And there’s element where the group was trying to take the power from the king. Which they didn’t manage in this movie. But we know that they can use their power in different ways.
