Law was made for one thing alone; for the exploitation of those who do not understand it – Bertolt Brecht
–> one of the lawyer jokes. Being a legal student in the past, of course I’m interested in quotes like this. I know that many common people are not comfortable with lawyers and legal gobbledegook. The most harsh I’ve ever heard is this: what do you call ten lawyers tied together at the bottom of the sea?
Answer: a bloody good start!

No one will make a lock without a key. Similarly, God won’t give problems without solutions. -Alena Lynn
–> I’m sure to use this quote to boost someone else’s spirit. But it really is hard sometimes to find a solution.

Menstruation, menopause, mental breakdowns -> most womens probIems begin with men.
–> rather not comment on this one. I post it here I like the wordings.

Worrying is like a rocking chair. It gives you something to do but it gets you nowhere. -Glenn Turner
–> one of my fav quotes! Been saying it for many many years now. Now I can credit it to Glenn Turner whenever I say it.

To forget easily is a gift. Let go of your past mistakes. Make a fresh start. -Yeong-ha Kim

To forget easily is a gift. Let go of your past mistakes. Make a fresh start. -Yeong-ha Kim
–> a positive spin to say by those that forget easily like. Tho in my case, instead of making fresh start, I’d be making fresh new mistakes!

Spongebob: “What do you usually do when I’m gone?” Patrick: “Wait for you to come back.” Friendship!
–> isn’t that just cute?

Reality is merely an illusion, albeit a very persistent one.
—ALBERT EINSTEIN
–> i haven’t come to the realization that Einstein is talking about here. But I kinda understand it a bit. You would have to read Harunyahya’s take in the Matrix movies to begin to understand it.

The tongue has no bones, yet it breaks bones. -Greek Proverb.
Tongue never broke my bones yet, but there are incidents where it broke my heart.

It’s easier to stay silent than to fake a smile. –> oh how true. Sometimes I hate myself for giving a fake smile. Because I know that I really really hate what’s going on and what someone said that forced that smile, but I have to smile anyway.

Apologizing is like whiteout. It covers up the mistake, but it never totally goes away. –> but sometimes it’s the only noble thing to do. Let’s try not to make mistakes in the first place. But easy said that done.

The world most beautiful sentence: “But I love you.” The world’s most painful sentence: “I love you but…” -Vea Mariz. –> have you said any of this before?

isu isu semasa May 9, 2010

Whats up with those? Apalah agaknya cerita sebenarnya agaknya kan?

We might never know The truth. Banyak sangat berita yang tidak sama. Tak tahu samada they are telling The truth or not. Winston Churchill pernah berkata: Lies get halfway around The World before The truth has a chance to put it’s pants on. He He lawak jugak.

Apa berita yang kita boleh percaya kan? Kalau ikut cara Voltaire senang sikit. Dia kata: Never believe anything until it is officially denied.

Sekolah Orang Asli April 1, 2010

Semalam pegi Site visit kat satu Sekolah orang Asli di Klang. No need to name The School here.

Masa sampai kat Sekolah tu heran jugak sebab nampak tenang jer except bebudak tengah main takraw. The Teacher was nice. Boleh get along. Sekolah pun generally nampak cantik. I was expecting a dilapidated School.

Sembang dgn cikgu english kat situ dan later lagi lama sembang dgn guru besar dia, barulah sikit sikit pasal Sekolah tu dan keadaannya kalau di Sekolah orang asli secara General.

Rupanya Student kat situ memang tak ganas ganas. Senyap jer dan rupanya memang dorang datang pun kekadang bukan nak belajar pun. Pencapaian kat Sekolah camni memang menyedihkan. Kalau ayah suruh duduk rumah buat kerja kat hutan ke apa ke, they wont go to School that day.

Hu hu.

The challenge for The School IS to make sure that students come. Thats The main thing. Bila dah sampai tu, ikut suka merekalah. Ada yang tido dalam kelas pun ada. Ni jenis baring bergelempang ni tau. Bukan cam kita dulu. Kalau nak tido pun, tekup muka atas meja. Dorang ni tidur betul betul.

Jadi cikgu besar telah menjalankan macam macam cara nak menarik Anak murid datang. Makan free. Baju Sekolah free. Dan pernah Sekolah buat kelas utk org dewasa so that The parents can experience School and would send their children after seeing The importance of it. At The moment, Sekolah sedang menjalankan Program ‘main sampai penat’. Student boleh main takraw or bolasepak sampai penat, then bila dah penat, barulah masuk Sekolah. Dont judge. You’re not The One that have to deal with The kids. To me, seolah dah buat macam macam. Tapi Student macam tu jugak. One proverb comes to mind: you can take a horse to Water, but you cannot make em drink.

Mission impossible aku kat Sekolah ni? To make them like The Application that We are going to install and make them learn english. Good luck with that!

Sex education February 28, 2010

Founded In NST today. I remembered someone remarked:

By all means let’s have sex Education. The way they teach everything else In schools these days, the students will lose interest in sex in no time.

Or something like that.

Here it is from NST:
Sex education, please

2010/02/28

By Chandra Devi Renganayar and Tan Choe Choe

KUALA LUMPUR: Continuing to blow hot and cold over the introduction of sex education as a subject in schools is no longer acceptable for many reasons.
These include: babies abandoned and left to die, promiscuity at a young age and a lack of knowledge of basic facts on sex. The appalling results of a recent survey underscored the depth of ignorance among youths.

Malaysians fared the worst in a survey made available to the New Sunday Times on sex-related issues conducted across Southeast Asia recently.

A majority of women aged between 16 and 24, believed, among other things, that sexual intercourse during menstruation would not lead to pregnancy, wearing brassieres could cause breast cancer and that they could enlarge their breasts by merely touching them.

According to the survey commissioned by a personal care company, most Malaysian women were confident that riding a bicycle would cause them to lose their virginity.

At the same time, cases of abandoned babies are on the rise. On Friday, a newborn’s body was found in the toilet of a driving school in Segamat, Johor. Sexual activity and experimentation is also starting at a younger age.
Women, Family and Community Development Minister Senator Datuk Seri Shahrizat Abdul Jalil said yesterday she would push for the introduction of sex education in schools.

“It has to be speeded up. We had submitted the proposed curriculum to the Education Ministry several years ago. We must not sweep the issue under the carpet because we are shy. This cannot be delayed any more.”

In 2006, it was reported that the government had finalised a 160-page guideline on the subject, covering issues such as what kind of touching is allowed, teenage crushes, contraception and the dangers of online sexual predators. But it has not been introduced to date.

Last year, Education director-general Tan Sri Alimuddin Mohd Dom had said there were no plans to introduce sex education as a subject as it was already covered in subjects such as Biology, Moral and Islamic Studies.

Perlis visit December 26, 2009

Semalam sampai Perlis. bukan senang nak sampai. terpaksa pusing ke sana sini sebab missed turn kat highway masa nak ambik Mak dan ayah. then terpaksa meredah jem sebab ramai orang cuti krismas ni. jalan memang tak smooth. tapi alhamdulilah kami sampai dengan selamat.

ini kali kedua sampai ke Perlis for me. dedulu masa kecik kecik lagi. that time pun First time sampai langkawi. kali ni tinggal kat rumah akak kat Kg Wai nama dia. why it’s Wai (getit?) , i dunno yet. probably nama thailand kot. sebab just behind The hilly area at The back is thailand, My bro In law said.

what bugs me here is that orang Perlis ni ambik kesempatan dengan orang luar. bila dia tahu kami kami bukan orang tempatan, mereka jual dengan harga mahal sikit. ini Anak sedara aku perasan sebab kalau dia beli harga lain dia kata. entah apa apa. hello, kami ni orang Malaysia jugaklah. bukan orang luar Negara tau!

dan pekan kuala Perlis amatlah kecilnya. bukan apa, masa kami nak cari Klinik for emergency reason, tak jumpa yang bukak hari sabtu. orang boleh pilih ke nak sakit hari apa.

terpaksalah kami pegi ke pekan kangar. cari punya cari adalah jumpa yang bukak. tapi doktor pulak takde. adalah tiga tempat kami pergi. last last sekali kenalah kami pick One clinic dan tunggu sampai doktor sampai. sebab dah malas nak cari lagi.

Kevin Costner In The movie Tin Cup said: Gold and sex are two things that you can enjoy eventhough you are not good at it.

now we all know that Tiger Woods is good at golf. but now we know, maybe, just maybe, that he’s also a tiger in bed as well. hmm.

by the way, I’m good in bed.

I can sleep on it for hours.

I have been using iPhone for less than a week now and I love it! there’s so much interesting that I can do with it. and lucky that I just got it now because with the upgrade to 3GS, the phone is a lot better than before. the next upgrade to the phone is to add video call feature Which is not present currently. but how much video call do you do, right?

I am big on software. or apps. I like to install those for productivity and personal matters.

as you can see, I’ve already added a lot of apps for my phone. and all these are free. I haven’t bought any software yet. been thinking about it.
